What does the sign mean?
The plate shows a junction where drivers on the thin line must give way to vehicles on the thick line.
Where it applies
- The picture is adapted to the place, so it looks different at different junctions.
- The thick line can bend. What looks like straight ahead may be the road that must give way.
Exam trap
A driver following the thick line gets no duty to give way to the thin line from this plate, even if the road bends.
Do not mix up with
The right-hand rule: it does not apply between the thick and thin lines here.
