Time indication
Tidsangivelse
What does the sign mean?
The plate shows when the sign applies.
Where it applies
- Black or white figures without brackets: weekdays (Monday to Saturday, in Swedish vardag), except a weekday before a Sunday or public holiday.
- Black or white figures in brackets: a weekday before a Sunday or public holiday, usually Saturday.
- Red figures: Sundays and public holidays.
- If the time runs past midnight, the part after midnight applies on the following day.
- If a certain date or weekday is stated, the rule applies that day, even if it is a Sunday or public holiday.
- Under a sign that bans parking, or stopping and parking, the plate is yellow with black characters.
Exam trap
Brackets do not only mean Saturday. The day before a mid-week public holiday also follows the brackets.
Do not mix up with
Permitted parking time: that plate shows how long you may stay, not when the rule applies.
