Distance
Avstånd
What does the sign mean?
The plate shows the distance to what the sign refers to.
Where it applies
- Under a prohibition or mandatory sign it gives advance notice: the rule lies further on.
- Under a give way sign it shows that the give way point lies ahead.
Exam trap
With this plate under a prohibition, the ban does not apply at the sign but where the distance runs out.
Do not mix up with
Length of road section: that plate has two figures and shows where a stretch starts and ends.
