Built-up area
Tättbebyggt område
What does the sign mean?
A built-up area starts here.
Where it applies
- The speed limit is 50 km/h unless something else applies.
- The municipality can set 30 or 40 km/h.
- A prohibition sign shown with this sign applies to the whole area unless something else is stated.
Exam trap
The sign has no figure, so you need to know the rule. The 50 km/h limit binds you just as a signed limit does.
Do not mix up with
End of built-up area: the sign showing the area ends.
