What does the sign mean?

An express road starts here.

Where it applies

  • You may not turn round or reverse.
  • You may not stop or park, except at marked parking or rest areas.
  • The rules on which vehicles may use it are the same as on a motorway.

Exam trap

The motorway's 110 km/h rule does not apply here. With no sign the basic limit of 70 km/h applies outside built-up areas. The Transport Administration can set 80, 90, 100 or 110 km/h, so follow the signs.

Do not mix up with

Motorway: there the limit is 110 km/h unless something else is signed.
