Parking
Parkering
What does the sign mean?
Parking is allowed here, in a car park or on a stretch on the same side of the road as the sign.
Where it applies
- By a road the permission runs from the sign to the limit on a plate, another marked stopping or parking rule, or the next junction with another road. An exit from, for example, a property or car park does not count as a junction. If the other rule covers a shorter stretch, the permission resumes after it without a new sign.
- At a dedicated car park it covers the whole car park.
- The sign gives no right to park where the law bans it, unless the sign's position or a plate makes that clear.
Exam trap
You may park, but other rules still apply. On municipal streets in built-up areas and on public roads you may stay at most 24 hours in a row on weekdays, except the weekday before a Sunday or public holiday.
Do not mix up with
Special parking provisions: that sign sets conditions for parking.
