Rule
Overtake on the left, and the exceptions
Main rule: overtake on the left. Exceptions, right-side overtaking is allowed when: • The driver you're overtaking is turning or signalling for a left turn • Traffic is so heavy that vehicles form multiple queued lanes (urban traffic) • On a road with multiple marked lanes in the same direction where you're already in the right lane • On motorway approaching an exit ramp where the vehicles on the right are exiting
