Low sun can blind you completely
Low sun directly ahead (dawn heading east, dusk heading west) can completely blind you for 10–20 seconds. On top of that: • Glare from wet asphalt or snow • Contrast disappears, pedestrians, cyclists, road markings vanish • Oncoming cars see you just as badly
