What does the sign mean?
You must stop for the reason given under the line on the sign.
Where it applies
- Stop at the stop line, or at the sign if there is no stop line.
- If the sign stands before a traffic signal, you stop at red.
Do not mix up with
Stop: that sign applies before entering a crossing road, route or track area.
