What does the sign mean?
The road or carriageway gets narrower.
Where it applies
- The symbol is set for the location and can show which side the road narrows from.
Exam trap
The sign does not say who has priority at the narrow part. If something obstructs the meeting, the driver with the obstacle on their side must stop if needed. The signs for giving way to oncoming traffic set their own rule.
Do not mix up with
Give way to oncoming traffic: that sign sets a duty, this one only warns.
