Where it applies

The picture is adapted to the place, so it looks different at different junctions.
The thick line can bend. What looks like straight ahead may be the road that must give way.

A driver following the thick line gets no duty to give way to the thin line from this plate, even if the road bends.

The right-hand rule: it does not apply between the thick and thin lines here.
