You may not park here, but you may stop for someone to get in or out, or to load or unload goods.
Where it applies
Only on the side of the road where the sign stands.
From the sign to the next junction with another road, unless something ends it sooner. An exit from, say, a car park or a property does not count as a junction.
A supplementary plate or a new sign about stopping or parking can change that.
Exam trap
The ban normally ends at the next junction. No overtaking and Speed limit do not.
Do not mix up with
No stopping or parking: that also bans stopping, so a passenger may not get out there.
