Prohibition signs

Speed limit

Hastighetsbegränsning

You may not drive faster than the speed on the sign.

Where it applies

The speed applies until another speed limit is given, or up to the sign End of temporary speed limit, Pedestrian street or Walking-pace zone.
The sign need not be repeated after a junction if the same speed applies on the crossing road.

Unlike most prohibition signs, the limit does not end at the next junction.

Recommended maximum speed: that is a recommendation, this is a limit.
